Bahrain’s international airport was established in 1927, one of the oldest in the Gulf region. The Kingdom’s airport has a long history, dating back to when a chartered flight landed 94 years ago. Despite this, Bahrain did not receive its first commercial flight until 1932, carrying 24 passengers aboard.
